چکیده

The recent rise in the demand for high precision, close tolerances, and super surface finish quality of components part assembly modules competitive manufacturing industrial environment enhanced working life functional requirements machines globally. Three revolving curved tip tools based magnetorheological process is designed developed to fine external cylindrical surfaces soft hard materials. effect key operational machining parameters on roughness a newly was carried out using one factor at time method. magnetizing current, speed tools, rotational workpiece, workpiece traverse are that have been considered this purpose. experimentation has performed aluminium because its broad applicability, such as shafts, rods, pistons, other circular components. primary purpose study determine range essential control finishing process. percentage reduction Ra, Rq, Rz values 69.64%, 58.21%, 54.48%, respectively, after 60 minutes current 2A, 30 RPM, rotation 600 RPM feed 10 cm/min.

Development of Magnetorheological Finishing (MRF) Process for Freeform Surfaces

One of the newly developed methods for obtaining super finished surfaces for freeform is Magnetorheological finishing (MRF). MRF is an advanced finishing process in which the grinding force is controlled by magnetic field. The material removal in MRF is governed by the magnetorheological fluid which mainly consists of carbonyl iron (CI), abrasives particles, carrier fluids and additives. MRF pr...

Magnetorheological Finishing-A Deterministic Process for Optics Manufacturing

Finish polishing of optics with magnetic media has evolved extensively over the past decade. Of the approaches conceived during this time, the most recently developed process is called magnetorheological finishing (MRF). In MRF, a magnetic field stiffens a fluid suspension in contact with a workpiece. The workpiece is mounted on the rotating spindle of a computer-numerically-controlled (CNC) ma...

Performance Evaluation of Improved Ball End Magnetorheological Finishing Process

A novel nanofinishing process using improved ball end magnetorheological (MR) finishing tool was developed for finishing of flat as well as 3D surfaces of ferromagnetic and non ferromagnetic workpieces. In this process a magnetically controlled ball end of smart MR polishing fluid is generated at the tip surface of the tool which is used as a finishing medium and it is guided to follow the surf...

Investigation on Process Parameters of Ball Screw Finishing Using Magnetic Abrasive Field

Surface finishing is one of the most significant steps in industries which are engaged with surface quality. Finishing by magnetic field is a new method of surface finishing. In this process, machining is executed in mechanical way and semi-homogeneous abrasive slurry performs finishing of surfaces. Needed force to grind surfaces is made by magnetic field. Therefor this method is considered as ...
